Beauty in blue: Cat Deeley flashes a toothy smile to the cameras as she goes for a stroll round New York

There's just no stopping Cat Deeley.

She's endured heartache recently after a split from her long-term boyfriend and has been constantly jetting back and forth from the US to the UK.

But a little something like a break-up and a bit of jet-lag clearly isn't going to get this smiley lady down.

Because despite these things, the West Midlands lass has always managed to keep a bright smile on her face, and today was no exception.

The TV presenter looked as though she didn't have a care in the world as she enjoyed a stroll in the sunshine around New York.

She looked very pretty in her blue kimono-style jacket and denim hot pants which she accessorised with big black sunglasses and a pair of funky black and gold sandals.

And she proved why she was the right choice to be the new face of Pantene shampoo as she flicked her long silky locks off her shoulder.

Cat, 33, had just made an appearance on the morning chat show Live with Regis and Kelly.

She was on there to talk about So You Think You Can Dance, the FOX TV talent show which she hosts, and which reaches its grand finale on August 12.

But she couldn't help but reminisce about her time co-hosting the show with Regis Philbin

Cat stepped in for Kelly Ripas in April when the co-host was on holiday, and today she told her hosts how much fun she had had.

She said: 'It's just a really fun show. We came out and had a chat and told a few stories - it's great!'

Regis then asked her if she knew journalist and Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, who, like Cat, stood in to co-host yesterday, this time for Regis.

When she said she did, Kelly said: 'He said he is very fond of you. He was very sweet', before telling Cat how Piers paid for a holiday for a caller who didn't wina luxury holiday to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia during an on-air quiz.

Cat then talked about hosting So You Think You Can Dance, both in the UK and the US, and compared the British with the American contestants.

And she she risked the wrath of her countrymen when she said Americans can dance better because of their lack of inhibition.
