Obama to Visit Puerto Rico June 14

Statement from Gov. Luis G. Fortuño:

Since the beginning of my administration, we have been working in close collaboration with the president and his administration to make this historic visit a reality.....

With his visit, President Obama fulfills his commitment he made during the presidential primaries of 2008, to return to Puerto Rico as president.

Puerto Rico prepares to host its first official presidential visit since 1962, when President John F. Kennedy was greeted with great enthusiasm by our people. I'm sure the reception that President Obama will receive the upcoming June 14 will be no less remarkable and productive.
